The Grove - Just in Time!

The Grove

Well just before the Grove shut their doors, the wife and I made it for a quick bite. Plus Whitey said that if I reviewed the Grove, he'd not force me to send him the half filled SOBA punch card that I owe him.

For some reason I never really thought of the Grove as a desirable place for me to eat dinner. I thought it was a club for the kids. Man was I wrong. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful and a bit sad that the place was shutting down.

The food was REALLY good. I was very impressed with the two dishes that we had.



Again, I'm kicking myself for not going to the Grove sooner. So many other plates and drinks to taste.

The Grove is Closing July 7th

The Grove will close July 7th

According to the Source Weekly:

"Erica Reilly, co-owner of The Grove, confirmed rumors this afternoon that the longtime epicenter of downtown Bend's club scene will close to the public on Saturday, July 7."

Sorry Keeneye, I know we had a deal that I'd review the Grove instead of sending Whitey the half full meal card but I am not sure if I want to go there now that they are closing. I mean, wont they run out of stuff and phone in the service? I mean why try that hard when you know your job is over in a week?

Maybe I'll get out there before they close to live up to my end of the bargain.
